Partner Camille Hawk, one of the region’s leading foreclosure and creditors’ rights attorneys, offers financial institutions extensive assistance in the areas of real estate and lending law, and default services including bankruptcy, title issues, foreclosure, loss mitigation, eviction and collections.

The primary goal of Camille’s practice is to help lenders reach cost-effective and timely resolutions with their borrowers. She has worked with banks for nearly 25 years – including as an account manager marketing banking products before law school – and understands first-hand the goals and operations of the lending industry.

Camille is passionate about working closely with creditors to help ensure they have the right processes in place to comport with state and federal regulations, especially with regard to often-complicated real estate and banking laws.

She is well-versed on laws specific to consumer mortgage services, with a proven ability to effect change on behalf of her clients. For the past 15+ years, Camille has worked closely with the Nebraska Bankers Association and others to help draft state legislation related to real estate, creditors’ rights and lending. Camille’s contributions to legislation on behalf of her banking clients has included creditor-friendly language in the areas of:

  • Manufactured homes
  • Line of credit designations
  • HOA and condo association statutes
  • Release of lien statutes
  • Trustees’ powers

To further ensure that she has a voice in how creditors are regulated and in minimizing the impacts of regulation on them, Camille is active in professional organizations that help her remain up-to-date on creditors’ rights trends and regulations before they affect lenders.

She is a sought-after speaker on topics related to foreclosure, collections and debtor-creditor relations, and serves on several community boards, believing it is important to give back to the organizations that she supports.

A two-time Creighton University graduate (both law school and undergraduate) and Omaha native with four children, Camille enjoys continual learning, cultural experiences, live music and travel.
