Partner Matthew Kivett represents banks and credit unions in complex business and banking transactions, including real estate transactions; regulatory matters; Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings; lending matters; commercial litigation; collection proceedings; foreclosures and post-foreclosure evictions.

Matt has a variety of experience providing services to financial institutions. As a young partner, Matt is able to offer his full attention to client needs, and can tap into a team of seasoned senior partners as necessary to address any type of commercial transaction or litigation.

Matt has been interested in commercial law since obtaining his undergraduate degree in business administration. He prides himself on providing thorough, responsive service to firm clients, and is committed to ensuring that the resolution of legal matters enhances, rather than disrupts, client business operations.

A native of Gretna, Nebraska, Matt received his law degree from Creighton University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Outside of his legal work, Matt enjoys playing basketball, watching sports and traveling with his wife.
